Breakdancing Club is currently designing a club T-shirt, according to Leo Kim, club officer and junior. The club is also working on getting its video announcement up and running following a previous complication. Breakdancing Club meets every Tuesday after school in the main lobby near the Dale E. Graham Auditorium.
“One, the shirts would kind of publicize the club a little more. Two, we’re actually trying to do more charitable events this year; the money that we would gain would actually be donated,” Kim said. “A lot of our group is intertwined with Global Giving, so we just give the money to them and they decide what charity to give it to.”
Sponsor Lacey Grabek said she loves the idea of t-shirts for the club.
“I think it acts as a way of promoting who we are on a regular basis,” Grabek said via email. “I think the group will develop a neat shirt design which will have people questioning what the shirts are for and allowing the person wearing the shirt to introduce our club and who we are.”
Members are also trying to have their video announcement aired to promote the club.
“We aired our video announcement once, but it never aired again, so I don’t know what’s up with that,” Kim said. “We’re trying to work on that and figure things out from there.”
