Choir members have begun preparing for the Holiday Spectacular show, which begins on Nov. 30, according to choir director Lamonte Kuskye.
“(Holiday Spectacular) is the biggest show of the year. It’s what all the kids look forward to being in and what the committee looks forward to seeing. It’s a celebration of the season,” Kuskye said.
The show will have a variety of genres, styles and dances, complete with an overarching theme. Every choir will be performing, each having from five to twelve pieces.
Kuskye said choir members spend a lot of time on rehearsing, including before and after school.
Ambassador and sophomore Eric Wiegand said he has had three-hour rehearsals and spends a lot of time for practice.
“It’s a lot of hard work. The practice is tiring, but it’s very worth it to be in that kind of group. It’s like one big family,” Wiegand said.
The show will be on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m., Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. There is not a show on Dec. 2 due to a conflicting basketball game.
