Members of the Family, Career & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) will attend the Indiana FCCLA Fall Rally on Sept. 30
at Purdue University, according to president and senior Vivian Heerens.
According to Heerens, members of the club plan on participating in youth sessions that concern a variety of topics, including membership, officers and publicity.
“This is a very important event for us because it helps teach new members what FCCLA is all about,” Heerens said.
Members of the club will also volunteer at the IU North Hospital Pumpkin Patch Festival by setting up a bike safety course to teach young children about bike safety, according to club sponsor Nancy Spencer. This event will take place on Oct. 11.
“This is an event that we do every year as part of our community outreach, which is a big part of who we are as a club,” Heerens said.
