CHS will host a Community Open House on Nov. 2 from 1-3 p.m. It will be in an open house format with all the departments represented and the department chairs at tables in the commons area with some teachers. Other teachers will be in their main elective areas and will have answers to any questions, from programming to daily routines. Visitors may have a guided tour or go around the building on their own. Clubs and sports will also be represented.
According to Assistant Principal Amy Skeens-Benton, the open house if for anyone in the community. Alumni could come back and see what CHS looks like now; community members could see where their tax dollars are going; elementary parents could see where their child is going to go. It’s a chance for people to see all the opportunities and what CHS has to offer for middle school students.
Skeens-Benton advises visitors to wear comfortable shoes.
She said, “We have an awesome facility. We have awesome programming and unbelievable opportunities. This is a great way to shine and let everyone see that.”
