Science Bowl is scheduled to meet Sept. 5, according to Virginia Kundrat, Science Bowl sponsor and coach. “We’re planning to have our call out meeting on Sept. 5. During the meeting, the veteran members will have an opportunity to meet the new members,” said Kundrat. “We’ll probably talk about the structure of Science Bowl, talk about how teams are formed, and talk about the testing they’ll go through.”
Darren Chang, Science Bowl member and sophomore, said it has not been decided how many teams will be formed.
“Right now, we’re planning to have either three or four teams,” said Chang.
Kundrat said students have studied independently by themselves over the summer and will form teams based on their own interests. Official team practices will resume after members take tests written by veteran members.
Practices and team meetings are to be announced, according to Chang. “Each team is running their own private practices because everyone’s schedule is different so we don’t know when it’s convenient for everyone yet,” said Chang.
