Co-presidents and seniors Cindy Lee and Shahyon Niese explain the concepts behind French Club. Lee said French Club will attend Mudbugs Cajun Café because of how the food brings people together.
French Club members will eat at Mudbugs Cajun Café on Nov. 11. According to sponsor Lisa Carroll, members will take a five minute walk through downtown Carmel to get there.
Cindy Lee, French Club President and senior, said, “Mudbugs specializes in Cajun food, which is from the Louisiana area, so we’re just going there to try that aspect of food.”
Just as always, French Club will be going to restaurants because of how much of French Culture food reveals. Lee said she wants members to bond and get to know French food better through going to various restaurants.
However, Lee said going to Mudbugs was not the first choice. She said, “It’s always kind of our backup plan. We had a lot of other plans for this month, but they all kind of fell through. Originally we were going to go to Thanksgiving Around the World by Carmel Mayor’s Youth Council (CMYC), but they canceled the event because there were some other events going on. So then, we were also going to do a cooking class for French food, but we couldn’t find a good time for the chef, who was really busy.”
