Invisible Children plans to meet on Nov. 2 in Room E223. The club will meet every gold Monday.
Invisible Children is no longer only concentrating on one school in Africa. “There are children in need all over the world; its time we expand our efforts,” co-president and senior Emily Patterson said.
“At the upcoming meeting we will be collecting shoes for two charities. One of those charities is sending the collected goods to Guatemala with a mission trip. The meeting will also consist of ordering club T-shirts and talking about new events,” Patterson said.
Sponsor Alicia Noneman said this year the club is helping out a new charity in New Africa, focused on helping all children in need, such as sending school supplies to students in Mali.
Noneman said, “I think it will be a good year; we are really working hard to expand our efforts.” Invisible Children is still open to all grades and is always encouraging new members to join. By Maddi Bourgerie <[email protected]>
