The ComedySportz team is to compete in its first home matches of the season on Feb. 21 and 22. Both matches will start at 7 p.m. and take place in the Studio Theater. Tickets cost $5 and will be available at the door or online at ticketracker.com
ComedySportz sponsor Jim Peterson said he is confident the team is ready for its first home matches.
Peterson said, “I think musically we’re very strong. I think scenically we’re very strong. Those are different types of games that we play and I think they’ve been doing pretty well with those in rehearsal. We’ve been stressing those and they seem to be really taking to it, so I’m excited.”
Piper Dafforn, ComedySportz captain and senior said she also thinks the team will bring many strengths to the table at its first home matches.
Dafforn said, “(For) strengths, I think we have good chemistry. We all get along really well. I think we’re all very passionate about what we’re doing which is really good. There’s been a lot of enthusiasm, like we’re all really eager to start playing.”
Overall, Peterson said he is excited to see how the team handles playing in its first home matches.
Peterson said, “I’m really looking forward to seeing what the new kids are bringing to the team. I’ve seen them in rehearsals and all that, but I’m really kind of excited to see what what happens in a real match setting, you know the true test. It’ll be fun. I’m really excited to see what they can do.”
