Economics Club has started tutoring students enrolled in economics classes to help them pass their classes, according to Jordan Seigel, co-president of Economics Club and senior.
“Our club has started to provide tutoring over economics in general,” Seigel said. “We usually tutor other students once a week and we actually get referred from others for tutoring over economics, which keeps us busy during SRT sometimes.”
Club sponsor Michelle Foutz said she is grateful for the new tutoring component of the club.
“Right now, I have my club’s co-presidents go around and help others learn and understand economics better to improve their grades and just help the people in need who are struggling in this topic,” Foutz said.
Foutz also said tryouts for the Indiana Economics Challenge will be starting soon.
“We will soon be having tests on economics and the material our members have learned,” Foutz said. “This will basically be the determining factor on who will be on the team for the Economics Challenge this year.” By William Du
