Herff Jones will distribute class rings on May 19 during all four lunches in the freshman cafeteria. Students may stop by during lunch to pick up the orders.
According to Freshman Center secretary Gloria Neef, class ring orders are not limited to freshmen. Students who did not purchase rings this year may order them as sophomores, juniors or seniors as well.
Freshman Alyssa Zhao said she has decided to delay her purchase of a class ring until she is a senior.
She said, “It seems a lot more meaningful to order it as a senior after completing most of high school. Plus it seems like a bad idea to order it now because there’s the chance of losing it. I plan to wait until my senior year to consider one.”
However, Zhao said she knows of a few classmates who have purchased class rings.
“A couple of my friends ordered them now,” Zhao said. “Some people want to wear them throughout high school. Either way, you will have a way to remember Carmel High School after graduation.” By Laura Peng <[email protected]>
