Looking Back at the ’80’s

I am going to be upfront here. I hate the ’80’s. I dislike nearly every song and artist from that decade (Exceptions being Michael Jackson and the song “Earth Angel”). But the one thing I despise the most is Fran Drescher. That one moment I turned to Nick At Night and heard that horrid voice was the worst thing that could ever possibly happen to me.

*Sigh* But I suppose I have a duty to the people.

Let us begin with the king of pop: Michael Jackson. He is a legend and the icon for the ’80’s. Pop was in a golden age. Many artists we consider legends today were made in the ’80’s. Which brings me to *shudder* hair bands. They were the worst thing to happen to music since Ringo Starr’s songwriting.

Oh yeah Breakfast Club. I. Freaking. Love. The Breakfast Club. It is one of the best movies of all time. The perfect school setting movie. It is universal, decades from now, our grandchildren will watch the movie religiously.

So what’s left? Popped collars, the safety dance. Well I think it’s time I wrap it up. Until I wirte again

Oh god, I have Rick Astley stuck inside my head now.
