So Vh1’s Top 20 Music Videos is very interesting right now.

The Good: Some good stuff at the top right now. Red Hot Chili Peppers is back (I could not be happier). Foster the People in general (They are now my new favorite thing ever, Ever). Hot Chelie Rae’s new song “Tonight, Tonight,” continues to effortlessly get stuck inside my head (and I could not be happier). And hey, there are two artists from the British Isles on the top 10. I do ever so love the British, with their tea, crumpets and amusing accents that get me all giddy inside. It all just makes me want to squee.

The Bad: Some of my old favorites are fading. The Script’s new songs don’t really provoke any reactions toward me. That special sound and the awesomeness of the British accent has disappeared somehow. It now just sounds too ‘pop-y’. Colbie Cailat has been underwhelming for me as well. Though not as much as the script, since I mainly just liked the sound of her voice together with a guitar. And Katy Perry- *sigh* thinking of Katy Perry makes me sad. I loved her when she first came out, hot and cold was brilliant (as was the music video). But “California Girls” was like an AA gun shooting down her airplane of fame. It all went down from there, and then the plane crashed. And then, nothing was the same.

The Ugly: Nicki Minaj. Again, Nicki Minaj. I have intensely disliked her ever since I heard one of her songs. Her appearance makes her look like- well I have no idea. Something to do with Miami. And not the good Miami like South Beach. The bad Miami. I am almost disgusted by her music, it grates against my ear drums. But I should stray away from this topic before a break a law.

While the top 20 right now may have stuff that I dislike, it is much better than it has been in the past. Plus it has British people.
