The CHS art department has started the selection process for the Regional Scholastic Art Competition (RSAC). Each art department teacher will be able to submit up to 25 works of art for judging at Butler University. The deadline for submission is Dec. 1.
“About 25 student artworks are submitted by each teacher,” art department chairperson Jennifer Davis said. “In total we have about 150 applications.”
The RSAC is a national program for recognizing student in the visual and literary arts. Submitted artwork will be displayed and judged in several categories including drawing and ceramics.
“This is a great opportunity for me to challenge myself and get recognized for my work,” Colby Cronnin, art student and freshman, said. “Everyone has a chance of getting in the art competition.”
