According to speaker of the House Mohammad Issa, Dance Marathon applications are now available in the Activities Office and will be due on Jan. 27. Money will not be due until the day of the event, which is from 4 to 10 p.m. on Feb. 25.
House members will sponsor many Dance Marathon fundraisers in the coming month, Issa said. In addition to the Dance Marathon food fundraisers, like the Chik-Fil-A fundraiser on Jan. 5, House will be selling Cold Stone ice cream during Friday lunches for the entire month of January.
“Charity in any form is an important thing,” Issa said. “Dance Marathon is a great cause, and teens can come together to have fun and do something good for the community. (Dance Marathon) raises money which affects a lot of people, including students at CHS.”
House sponsor Sarah Wolff said, “These next two months are our prep period for Dance Marathon. We need to continue to fundraise and be there for the kids.”
