Aquatic Center director Kinsey Wallace is currently looking for lifeguards and swim instructors.
“The swim season’s coming to a close, and some of my swimmers have expressed interest in guarding and instructing. But I need them now,” Wallace said.
Diver and sophomore Laura Rokop said she will be a swim instructor once the swim season is over.
“I don’t want to have to juggle work and swim,” Rokop said. “Once it’s all over, I’ll be back at work.”
Until the swim season is over, however, Wallace is in need of guards. Lifeguards guard swim meets, lessons and, starting Feb. 11, triathlon clinics for the triathlon in April.
“If (potential guards) can make bubbles in the pool, float, and can teach, they’re perfect,” Wallace said.
