As the new semester begins, the PTO finds itself in need of volunteers. The PTO, an organization run completely by parent and teacher volunteers, helps the school by setting up events throughout the year that help either raise money for our school or perform a specific services to the community, the school, the teachers, or the students.
PTO chairperson Kimberly Paarlberg said via e-mail, “There are PTO committees that rely on the volunteers to make events happen. That includes Homecoming and Grad-fest for the students, and the hospitality committee for the staff.”
A parent willing to volunteer can find multiple ways to get involved.
“Even if a parent cannot volunteer at the school, they can contribute by being a PTO member.” Paarlberg said. “Membership fees help sponsor some of the events listed above, as well as support the school in a variety of ways.”
Parents wishing to volunteer can navigate to Carmel High School’s website can download the PTO form here.
