Sophomore Celene Funke opens her locker after a practice this week. Funke said she feels that the team is prepared for tomorrow’s game.
The women’s basketball team lost to Warren Central 57-59 on Dec. 3 to give the team a 2-4 record. The team will play at Fishers tomorrow, Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m. The team’s next home game is on Jan. 4 against Terre Haute South.
Varsity player and sophomore Celene Funke said that the team is working hard and trying to get better as a team everyday. “We’re still working on improving some things, but this season has been really fun so far,” Funke said.According to Head Coach Scott Bowen, the “goals we have set for the girls thus far are to care about each other and compete.” In terms of the game tomorrow, Funke said, “We have been practicing hard and it will hopefully be a good game. I’m very excited.”
