Carmel’s softball team prepares to compete against Hamilton Southeastern May 5. According to team captain and senior Lauren Godden, after losing to HSE in the Sectional tournament last year the team is fired up to compete against them again. “We hove facing them. It is always a constant battle and I can’t wait to play them in the regular season and Sectional play.” Godden said.
The team began their season April and is half way through the season with four wins and three loses. This upcoming week the team will compete against Lawrence North, Zionsville, and Avon.
The team will compete in approximately 28 games between April and May. According to head coach Emily Good it is important for the girls to be cautious of all the games they will be palying. “It’s vital that we do everything in our power to stay physically and mentally healthy all while challenging ourselves to come out and compete every single day.” Good said.
