NHS members have made new plans to increase sales at their annual carnation sale in February.
According to Morgan Montgomery, NHS vice president and senior, members have organized committees to help increase revenue. They plan to raise awareness of the sale through increased public relations during morning announcements and better organization to help reduce lines to buy carnations at lunch.
“Basically, just make it easier for the average student to participate in carnation sales,” Montgomery said.
In addition, NHS members have been looking at new community service ideas to take place during the second semester through their subcommittee, A Friend in Need. The subcommittee hopes to help out less fortunate people through winter months.
“We’re looking at food donations and some sort of drive like that to help the community,” NHS sponsor Michele Satchwell said. “People during the winter struggle.”
