The PTO is scheduled to have its next meeting on March 3 at 9 a.m. in the community room. According to PTO president Kimberly Paarlberg, the PTO is currently in the midst of planning for the Scholastic Banquet and Gradfest as well as preparing and taking a vital role in the Japanese Exchange Program.
“The PTO has had a successful year,” Paarlberg said via email. “We (the PTO) have been able to help out the school in a variety of areas and programs.”
Sophomore Olivia “Olive” Phillips took part in the Japanese Exchange Program this past July and described the trip to Japan as “weird, exciting and fun.”
“It was a lot of fun to have the experience of staying in the home of another person and getting to know the family,” Phillips said. “Going on this trip, you will get to know whoever you stay along with their friends and experience living what life would be like in Japan. It’s really cool.”
