According to Assistant Principal Amy Skeens-Benton, members of the Freshman Class will soon elect a president, vice president, secretary and treasurer for the 2015–2016 school year, their sophomore year. The ballot will open at 7 a.m. on May 4.

Until then, Skeens-Benton said, forms for the Senate and new class officers will be released on April 27.
Freshman Stephanie Gohmann said she is interested in pursuing a future in the student government.
“I’m not in anything right now, but I’m going to apply for House next year,” she said. “I just think it’s really important to be involved in the school government, because you get a lot of say in important events like prom and Dance Marathon.”
