Senior Senator Neil Shah brainstorms ideas during his AP Government class. Shah said Senators made signs and bought food for CHS counselors during Counseling Appreciation Week.
According to senior Senator Neil Shah, the week of Feb. 1 is Counseling Appreciation Week. In preparation for Counseling Appreciation Week, Shah said Senate members made and hung signs showing their gratitude for CHS counselors around CHS.
In addition, Shah and Senate sponsor Michelle Foutz said Senate members bought and delivered food to the counseling department during Counseling Appreciation Week.
“We got a bunch of food and brought it into the counseling department, sent them a message, and put up some signs in the school just so people know that it’s Counseling Appreciation Week and just to do something special for them,” Foutz said.
The next events on the agenda for Senate are Brain Game and March Madness, according to Foutz and Shah. Shah said Brain Game will begin on Feb 8.
“After Counseling Appreciation Week, Brain Game is our focus. At this point, we are planning it and getting the questions finalized,” Shah said.
