On Dec. 4 the German Club plans to have an executive board meeting during SRT to decide on events for next semester. Then on Dec. 14, the club plans to take a trip to Chicago for the Christkindlmarket, a market selling traditional German Christmas items.
According to Theresa Lipp, German Club president and junior, members attending this event will leave at 8:30 a.m. and travel by school bus to Chicago, returning around 11:30 p.m.
“It will be a whole day excursion so that should be fun,” she said.
Lipp also said a good turn out for the event is expected with four people already signed up the period after the event was first announced.
“I think everyone will sign up and all 50 people that are allowed to go will come so it will be awesome,” she said.
In addition to going to the Christkindlemarket members will also have the opportunity to go to the Brauhaus, a German restaurant, for lunch and shop up and down Michigan Avenue. Lipp said it will be pretty cold so members are reminded to dress warmly. By Meredith Boyd <[email protected]>
