Tournaments started this week for the Carmel Dad’s Club (CDC) athletes. With this, they have begun preparing. Among these athletes is Junior Maggie Killian, who has played soccer with CDC for four years.
Killian said, “To prepare, we just talked as team about our strengths and weaknesses and what we needed to do to win as a team.we played in the playoffs, but my team lost, so we will not move on,” she said via email.
Killian added that her team wasn’t the best this season. “Going in, we didn’t feel super confident, but last game we played the best we have ever played before, so we were excited to go out on a positive note, even though we lost [the playoffs]” she said.
Jack Beery, President of CDC reflects on the fall season as these tournaments bring the season to an end saying via email, “The highlights of the fall season would be strong participation and tremendous sportsmanship.”
