The Color Guard team practices for its upcoming home game

One-And-Two-And-Three: Still energetic after over one and a half hours of practice, senior Kiley Burlas rehearses her team’s rifles and sabres routine. A typical Color Guard practice includes stretching, technique dancing, working with equipment and practicing with the marching band. The marching band and Color Guard placed first in the Bands of American Competition two years ago in the RCA Dome. Last year, the Color Guard had placed first at an international competition in Ohio. The group’s next performance will be at the home football game Sept. 14 against Lawrence North High School.
