On August 28, the camerata orchestra’s senior members will perform at a charity dinner from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. located at The Eugene and Marilyn Glick Center in downtown Indianapolis. Tickets are open to the public and $50 per person.
Second Helpings, the organization sponsoring the event, collects food donations and prepares meals to distribute to other organizations and also trains disadvantaged adults in the culinary field.
Orchestra director Soo Han said he looks forward to the event each year.
“We’ve done this for the past couple of years,” Han said. “It’s become a great tradition and way to help out.”
Vivian Chen, member of the camerata orchestra and senior, said she is excited for the performance.
“We’ll mostly be playing background music for the guests,” Chen said. “But it’s a great way to contribute to the community.” By Tracy Sun <[email protected]>
