FCCLA is moving into the holiday season and the community service activities that come with it. The chapter continued work on Christmas hats and stockings and participated in a district meeting Nov. 3. On Dec. 10, FCCLA and its culinary division will hold a silent auction to raise funds for the food bank as well as for the chapter.
“We do a lot during the holiday season, but it’s not necessarily more busy than other times of year,” Margaret O’Connor, FCCLA Indiana president and senior, said.
O’Connor will also call a state executive council meeting on Dec. 1-2, where FCCLA will plan ahead for the State Leadership Conference in March.
“All of these activities that we do directly lead up to the state conference in March,” sponsor Nancy Spencer said.
