Women’s Soccer Team Still in Hunt

By Andrew Browning

If the varsity women’s soccer team won its match against number-one-ranked Noblesville yesterday, it will enter the Sectional Championship tomorrow at Hamilton Southeastern at 6 p.m. Based on the results of Sectional games on Tuesday and Thursday, Head Coach Frank Dixon said via e-mail that the Hounds could face any one of four opponents, including number-four-ranked Zionsville and the host team, number-10-ranked Hamilton Southeastern.

Regardless of the outcome, after compiling a regular season record of 14-1-2, defender and junior Amanda Babbin said she is pleased with the Hounds’ season but would love for the team to be able to cap it off with a State title.

“I think we’ve had a great season,” Babbin said. “I think we have a great shot at winning State. Our seniors are really determined.”
