The men’s soccer team will travel to North Central on Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. for their first regional game against Avon. The men are coming off 1-0 victories against Zionsville and Westfield in their Sectional games. Carmel and Avon haven’t played yet this year.
Junior Mason Seiler said that he is excited for the opportunity to play Avon this year and that he is not yet satisfied with how far they have come. “I was surprised to see that we drew Avon in the Regional this year. Every year they have a good team so the competition will be tough,” said Seiler.
Along with Mason head coach Shane Schmidt is in high anticipation for the game.
“I am very proud of our players so far this year. They played great against Zionsville and Westfield and I expect that to continue against Avon,” said Schmidt.
“I just want it to be Thursday already,” said junior Eric Dick. “The pressure that builds up before games is hard to put up with and I just want to show what our team is made of.”
The winner of this game will compete Oct. 15 at 12 p.m. at North Central.
