The Icehounds gold team will compete against Cathedral at The Forum in Fishers Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. This game comes after a 6-1 win against Evansville. After winning two out three games in the Hoosier League Tournament, the team moves on to the Hoosier League Championship. If they win Feb. 15, they will play the final Hoosier League Championship game Feb. 16.
Michael Bozoian, head coach of the Carmel Icehounds gold team, said via email that having the opportunity to compete for championships is always fun.
He said, “Players shouldn’t need help being motivated to play in those tournaments, with championships on the line.”
Logan Gentile, right wing and defenseman for the Icehounds gold team and junior, said the team played Cathedral earlier in the season and won.
“We have to make sure that we’re ready to before the game mentally,” he said. “If they come to play it will be a very good game.”
