The junior varsity men’s basketball team plays Dec. 12 at North Central at 6, right before the varsity squad takes action on the court at 7:30.
“We are doing well and have a good mixture of young guys and some veteran high school players,” Head Coach Steve Drabyn said. “We also have a good mixture of ball handlers, shooters and good post players.”
Sophomore Mark Fennerty is one of the guards for the JV team. He said, “We’re a little rusty right now because we have just been learning the plays, but once we get those down we’ll be a lot better.”
According to Drabyn, the JV team practices after school with the varsity team. “We have a lot of fundamental drills, and we work on the aspects of ball handling, passing and shooting,” Drabyn said. “(Head Coach Mark) Galloway is big on being tough and aggressive, so we have a lot of

“North Central, like most MIC teams will be very good,” Drabyn said. “They will be very quick and athletic, and probably have a good defensive team. We would just appreciate everyone’s support in coming to our games this year.”
