Now that the NBA lockout is over, Fantasy Sports Club members can play fantasy basketball. Clay Morrisson, senior and club co-president, said that there will be a club meeting in the next few weeks in order to prepare for fantasy basketball, though there is not a specific date for that meeting yet.
Currently, Fantasy Sports Club members play fantasy football, every week during football season. According to club sponsor, Mike Meyer, members are in week 13 of the season.
“Each week is a new challenge to test your strategy,” Meyer said.
Currently, there are 16 teams playing in the Fantasy Sports Club’s league. One person is in charge of a team. Before every set of National Football League (NFL) games, members set their lineup based on their prediction on how well specific NFL players will do.
Later in the year, after fantasy football and NBA basketball, the Fantasy Sports Club will hold a school-wide tournament for the NCAA Tournament. They will also play fantasy baseball.
“Fantasy sports get people involved in experiencing sports in a different more competitive sense,” Morrisson said via-email.
