On Feb. 16, the speech team will be competing in a tournament at Lawrence North High School followed by another competition at Kokomo High School on Feb. 23, according to speech team sponsor John Love. The speech team will then host sectionals here on March 2, and if any members advance to the state meet, they will attend the state meet on March 23.
The speech team recently competed in a tournament at Ball State on Feb. 9. Love said the tournament went very well. “The kids really enjoyed being on a college campus and they did a very nice job,” said Love.
Sophomore Robert “Bobby” Greaser placed third in the radio part of the competition. Greaser said he was pleased with this finish and said he also enjoyed the competition.
