Young Life has officially ended all school year activities for the 2012-13 school-year. It plans to resume regular meetings during Fall 2013. However, according to head sponsor Jenna Perkins, there are plenty of opportunities to partake during the summer, including Young Life camps.
“Young Life Camp this summer can be either Camp Saranac or Camp Wilderness,” Perkins said. “Saranac is a new camp, which replaced Castaway from last year.”
Shana Porter, Young Life member and senior, plans to continue her Young Life involvement through the summer.
“This summer I can’t wait to do work crew and go to one of the camps with other Young Life members,” Porter said. “Last summer I did (a work crew) at a Young Life camp in Michigan and I was there for a month.”
For members like Porter who want to participate in any camp, forms are available online on Carmel Young Life website.
