Members of Kids’ Corner will prepare for the holiday season. According to Kim Lenzo, director of Kids’ Corner, the members of Kids’ Corner and the preschoolers will make holiday crafts on Dec. 9 and wrap the crafts on Dec. 13.
Lenzo said the students and the preschoolers will also go on a field trip to the fire department on Dec. 11.
The students of Kids’ Corner have not only prepared for the holiday season but also planned on continuing the preschool for one extra week.
Christine Chibvongodze, member of Kids’ Corner and senior, said, “We plan on having an extra week before the week of finals, but we’re getting permission from the parents before we confirm we’re having an extra week (of Kids’ Corner).”
Chibvongodze said she learned several skills from Kids’ Corner. “I learned that having a lesson plan for the day is really important when you’re a teacher,” Chibvongodze said. “I learned that you have to have good transitions from one activity to the next one.”
Chibvongodze said she will miss the preschoolers when Kids’ Corner ends for the semester. “I’m really sad,” Chibvongodze said, “It’s going to be weird not having my last two periods with Kids’ Corner.”
