The next Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) meeting will take place after school on March 6 in sponsor Jeremy Horner’s room, Room B206. Members will be talking about current events.
Officer and sophomore Anthony Giannamore said, “For me as somebody who has family and fraternal ties to the queer community, it’s important to me as a straight male to try to give back to that community and try to make an impact at CHS which hasn’t always been known to be the most (accepting) or warm place in the world.”
GSA officers will be setting up the queer convention with University High School’s and Zionsville Community High School’s GSAs.
Officer and junior Brooke Hosfeld said, “For me personally, I’m bisexual, so it’s not only have I met so many of my best friends here, it’s given me a really fun, safe place to hangout, meet new people and figure out exactly what’s going on in different queer communities.”
