Carmel Mayor’s Youth Council (CMYC) members will host a second High School Night scheduled on April 18. A movie for the event will be shown across the parking lot of Bub’s Burgers & Ice Cream at 8 p.m. The movie will be either “Frozen” or “Despicable Me.”
Joseph Philleo, CYMC member and sophomore, said. “I’m pretty excited for that event because it’s always pretty successful.”
CMYCmembers will also begin sketching their newly laid out mural in the Indiana Design Center on March 29. According to Leah Zukerman, vice president of current activities and junior, members will finish the project in approximately three meetings and complete it by late April.
“I’m really excited about it because the parking garage just looks really boring and, the mural is not only going to give us a chance to paint, it will also show the community what we can do,” she said. “It’s going to beautify the city.”
Also out are CMYC applications for next year. Zukerman said they must be postmarked by April 18.
“I have high hopes for next year’s members,” she said. “I’m expecting lots of applicants this year and cannot wait to go through all of them.”
