Elections are coming up for members of the Freshman Class. Students will need to advertise with posters to make sure fellow freshmen know to vote for them on Election Day.
Abby Frank, Freshman Class vice president, said that she will run for a position again next year.
“It is a lot of fun to plan things,” Frank said. “It is a great way to get involved.”
Frank said being more involved in the way CHS operates makes high school better.
CJ Glander, Freshman Center Assistant Principal, also encouraged students to get involved in elections because they can “have their voices heard at CHS.”
“It is a good way to represent (your) classmate,” Glander said.
Students are required to attend the meeting on April 28 at 3:25 p.m. in Greyhound Station to acquire information about elections and their petitions. Students will turn in their petitions on May 1 and the results will be released on May 8.
Students will be able to advertise with posters, but must take them down on May 8, the day the election results will be released.
“It is a good way to get connected and involved in school,” said Glander.
