The women’s volleyball team will compete in the Sectional on Oct. 16. Matches will start at 6 p.m. at Hamilton South Eastern High School.
According to Head Coach Rich Coleman, there are seven teams in the Sectional: Zionsville, Westfield, Carmel, North Central, Hamilton South Eastern, Fishers and Noblesville.
Coleman said via email, “We are taking it one match at a time. We still have six matches on our schedule so we will get ready for it after those matches.”
Shelby Foyer, varsity captain and senior, said, “It is always a difficult tourney, there are good competitors, but we have a strong team this year and I think we can win.”
With an almost perfect record of only one loss to Chatard, Coleman said that the team will do well, assuming the it plays to its potential. According to Foyer, the team did really well this season, and the players have definitely improved from last season.
Foyer said, “It’s a matter of how we play. We have to focus on our side of the court.”
The team’s next sectional match is scheduled for Oct. 20 at Hamilton South Eastern against Zionsville.
