Spanish Club’s next meeting will be on Sept. 14. “We are going to a Mexican supermarket that has a restaurant in the back called Guanajuato, and it’s on the west side of Indianapolis,” Anna Boucher, club president and senior, said.
According to Kaitlyn Olufs, club sponsor and Spanish teacher, the field trip will be a unique experience. “The students are going to see the different produce and items they can find at a Mexican grocery store and they’ll also be ordering food and having dinner at the new restaurant,” said, “it’s going to be typical Mexican food–they have a lot of burritos, tacos, and enchiladas.”
Boucher said, “It (the field trip) shows what Spanish Club is really about–food and culture–and it allows for exposure to the city and its different cultures.”
