According to Elizabeth Sprague, Spanish Club sponsor and teacher, club members will go on a field trip to Casa Maria Pupuseria on Oct. 20. “Casa Maria Pupuseria is a restaurant in downtown Indianapolis that has food from El Salvador,” Sprague said. Anna Boucher, Spanish club co-president and senior, said, “(Casa Maria Pupuseria) is local and it sells pupusas, and we’ll be ordering a bunch for the whole group.” According to Boucher, pupusas are stuffed corn tortilla and will likely be a new experience for Spanish Club members.
In Spanish Club’s previous meeting, members finalized T-shirt order forms and locker signs. “We’re pretty excited about T-shirts,” Boucher said. “We have a new design this year, we’re getting long-sleeves instead of short-sleeves, so we’re all excited for that and everything else that’s going on.”
