On Feb. 27 the students of CHS will all be gathering to raise money in Dance Marathon, which according to Amy Skeens-Benton, is one of the biggest school events of the year. The event will be very special for freshmen students particularly, because it is their first year going. Skeens-Benton said that Dance Marathon is a great experience for the freshmen.
“I think it’s an awesome experience for freshmen because they get to meet a lot of upperclassmen, it gets the students more involved with Carmel High School and it is a really fun and positive experience,” said Skeens-Benton.
There are many freshmen students like Carson Walton, who have already signed themselves up to attend Dance Marathon. Walton said he and his friends are all very excited to experience Dance Marathon for the first time.
Walton said, “I heard from my older brother and his friends that Dance Marathon is really fun, and I am really looking forward to experiencing it for myself for the first time.”
