According to Senate sponsor Michelle Foutz, Senate members are preparing for Dance Marathon, which is scheduled to take place on Feb. 27. This year marks the 11th year that CHS will host a Dance Marathon to benefit Riley Children’s Hospital (http://iuhealth.org/riley/).
“We are all involved in Dance Marathon,” Foutz said. “Some senators are on the executive council, which is through Cabinet, but they are helping with that. The rest of us, who are not on the executive council, are on the catering committee and are doing the food for Dance Marathon.”
Senior senator Neil Shah is one of the Senate members on the executive council for Dance Marathon. Shah, who will help lead the purple group, said he is preparing posters and collaborating with the other leaders of the purple group in preparation for Dance Marathon.
“I’ve been waiting for months for this Saturday, and I cannot wait to lead participants through the event and have an awesome time for the kids at Riley,” Shah said.
Aside from Dance Marathon, Shah and Foutz said senators are working on coordinating Brain Game and Cafeteria Staff Appreciation Week. Shah said the next Brain Game match is scheduled for Feb. 25 during SRT. In addition, Shah said Cafeteria Staff Appreciation Week will begin on March 14.
