The next Aperture Club call-out meeting is scheduled for Oct. 14, according to Arjuna Capulong, the new Aperture Club president and junior. Former co-presidents and seniors Steven Brisley and Michelle Hu have passed over their leadership positions to Capulong.

“Steven and I have a lot of activities going on this year. We just thought it would be in the best interest of the Aperture Club to let Arjuna lead it,” Hu said.

“I totally understand why Michelle and Steven would ‘pass the torch’ to me. They’re both busy people since Steven’s student body president and Michelle was Key Club president,” Capulong said. 

As the president of the Aperture Club, Capulong plays an important role in this club. He organizes meetings, manages the public relations and communicates with the members of the club.

 “I allow the students to make the decisions regarding the club,” Aperture Club sponsor Jim Streisel said.

“It’s amazing that Carmel never had a photography club, despite the number of photography classes it offers, until the Aperture Club,” Capulong said. “I’ve been in this club for two years, and I think it’s nice to be around people who express the same interests as me.” By Monica Cheng <[email protected]>
