The HiLite newspaper’s Web site, HiLite Online, became an official honoree in the 2010 Webby Awards.

Formed in 1996 by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences to recognize superior sites on the Internet, the Webbys feature sites that range from fashion to finance, games to government, activism to automotive. There are over 100 categories in all, but less than 70 are comprised of Web sites. The full list of winners can be found here. Webby honorees comprise approximately the top 15 percent of a total of 8,000 entries, according to the academy. The HiLite was recognized alongside Princeton and Purdue Universities, and American Heritage and Wayland High Schools.

The current editors of HiLite Online are Mike Jiang and Nishanth Samala.
