LifeLines is currently wrapping up events for Black History Month, the month of February.
According to sponsor Rebekah Overbey, the next big event is Pre-Spring Break Awareness Week.

“We have a guest speaker (Kira Hudson) coming in on March 30 for the Sophomore Class,” she said. “(She’s) someone that would talk about making good choices.”
Overbey said the members still need to meet and discuss the event.
“It’s pretty much, again, just doing different activities to increase awareness about choices that the students needs to make,” Overbey said. “We’ve talked about trying to bring in people standing up and standing up for their own voice if something’s going on.”
Member and senior Eileen Chou said she believes Pre-Spring Break Awareness Week is important for students.
“I think that Pre-Spring Break Awareness is important because making smart choices can change our whole lives,” Chou said. “It is important that we understand the consequences and implications before it becomes a reality.”
