Gay-Straight Alliance is scheduled to have its next meeting after-school on Oct. 7. The club will have a discussion about the school climate, according to club president Gracie “Grace” Woerner.
“We will talk about things like how we think the school understands the gay community,” Woerner said.
This meeting will be according to the club’s schedule, which opts for an after-school meeting every Thursday, according to sponsor Jeremy Horner.
“(In the school climate discussion), we will probably reflect about what Carmel is like, in terms of its viewpoint towards the gay community. We might also also compare Carmel to models for different types of schools,” Horner said.
According to Horner, Gay-Straight Alliance has had the biggest number of members since it began.
“We’ve had a bigger number of freshmen which is the biggest turnout we’ve had. I’m still getting to know everyone,” Horner said. By Tony Tan <[email protected]>
