According to Lawrence Yeh, Breakdance Club co-president and senior, the club is making preparations for Carmel’s Best Dance Crew, its biggest event of the year. Last year, proceeds from the event went to earthquake victims in Haiti, and the club is currently looking for a charity for this year’s revenue.
“We still working everything out for Carmel’s Best Dance Crew,” Yeh said.Additionally, the club will continue to meet every Tuesday after school in the Freshman Center performing arts classroom until 5:30 p.m.
For Andrew Thyen, Breakdance Club member and freshman, the club has benefits outside the realm of breakdancing.
“It’s a great social activity after school,” Thyen said. “You get to meet a lot of cool people.”
Club sponsor Susie Deneen said that all questions regarding Breakdance Club and its schedule should be diverted to Yeh. By Lauren Burdick <[email protected]>
