The Fantasy Sports Club is currently providing brackets for fantasy college basketball in the activities office, according to Christopher Simmons, club co-president and senior. “The club presidents are also readying for the fantasy baseball season next month,” he said.
Participants in the fantasy March Madness tournament do not need to be part of the Fantasy Sports Club, according to club sponsor Mike Meyer. They can pick up brackets in the activities office, he said, and must fill them out by Thursday.
Participants should turn in brackets to the activities office, Meyer, or any of the club presidents, Simmons said.
The club presidents are also preparing for fantasy baseball, according to Simmons. They plan on using video announcements to advertise instead of a call-out meeting, he said, since participation levels in fantasy baseball usually aren’t that high.
“We’re just seeing how our interest levels (are), and we’re going to have (participants) email us if they’re interested, (so we can) get a number that way,” Simmons said. The club presidents plan on having teams created through an online draft system by the end of March. By Hafsa Razi <[email protected]>
