On Nov. 17, the Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) will have a meeting to recognize historical lesbian, gay, bi-sexual or transgender figures.
“(The members) broke up into groups, and each group chose a different LGBT person in history or famous person today,” said Jeremy Horner, sponsor of the GSA. “(They are doing this) because they missed LGBT history month because they were getting ready for Ally Week, so now they wanted to do something for that.”
For the next few weeks, the GSA will focus on becoming a more informative and news-oriented group.
“We have some (guest speakers) at the ready, but we aren’t sure when we want to whip them out,” said Reid Libby, president of the GSA and senior.
“We are basically here to have a good time and have fun together,” said Libby.
